Job Title: FP& A Accountant

Job Overview and key duties (agile)
- Work with the Commercial Finance lead for Europe in all areas of Sales and commercial & financial reporting & key KPI’s, ensuring the right level of information and challenge to support effective decision making.
Commercial Reporting
- Owner of weekly, monthly and quarterly commercial volume, revenue & margin reporting ensuring accuracy & timeliness.
- Provide additional insights by reporting on category, customer and product volumes and revenues and utilising smart KPIs like Rev per unit/Kg into all reporting.
- Liaise with Sales teams to drive weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasting on volumes and pricing. Ensure we always was a rolling 3 month forecast in place and this is aligned with the volumes being used to operationally plan the business & in S&OP forums.
- Report on accuracy of such forecasts, publish KPIs on accuracy and forecast bias and drive corrective action over time.
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Working with the Commercial Finance and Divisional FC, co-ordinate the annual forecast processes (3+9, 6+6, 9+3) ensuring calendar of timelines & deliverables are clear from the outset.
- In conjunction with the Commercial Finance lead, responsible for the coordination of the annual budget across the 7 plants in the division, collaborating with the functional business leads to prepare financial projections of various business and strategic plans for the business and to organise and lead the management team in the preparation, presentation, and delivery of performance against those budgets, business plans and strategic plans.
Other reporting
- Product & Customer portfolio: work with the Pricing and Costings Manager to drive insightful reporting around Category, Product and Customer profitability to give Management a better view of the portfolio costings- use trends, KPIs and visuals to drive better decision making around sustainable profitability.
- Operational Performance: work with the Divisional Controller to drive insightful reporting around Ops financial metrics and operational KPIs.
- Working capital: work with the Treasury & WC Manager to drive insightful reporting around Cashflow and Working Capital KPIs to give the finance and management teams greater insights in relation our cash health.
- Financial Performance: Own the weekly & monthly reporting from a flash and actuals perspective. Ensure that all site using similar formats and are clear on timings.
Other
- Embrace and drive the use of Power BI as a key self-service tool in the business.
- Build strong relationships with FCs on site, providing them with accurate cost insights to enable better operational decision making.
- Build strong relationships with sales teams, ensuring that they understand the reporting cadence, inputs required, and outputs expected from all reporting. Possess a thorough understanding of financial statements and relationships between income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure strong communication with all stakeholders to facilitate the exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements.

- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Minimum of 3-7 years’ experience, preferably within manufacturing.
- Experience with analyzing large amounts of data, and ability to synthesize financial / business impact information into clear and concise summaries for presentations.
- Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- ERP experience (IFS advantageous but not essential).
