The Fairfield Team is looking to fill the role of Shift Supervisor for their PM Shift in their Fairfield, California facility.

The Fairfield site is one of the manufacturing sites for IPL’s Returnable & Environmental business unit in the United States; a business which has annual revenue of approximately $110m with significant growth potential and is part of the Environmental, Returnable and Industrial Solutions (ERIS) Division of IPL.

Position Title: Shift Supervisor- PM Rotating Shift

Location: Fairfield, California

What you will bring to the role:

Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Ensure smooth production operation during shift.

Essential experience and skills:

• 2 to 5 years' experience in the plastics industry
• Supervisory experience desirable
• A broad base of current technical knowledge to ensure that safety standards are met, and efficiencies are maintained.
• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

The successful candidate will:

• Train and coach production line employees.
• Responsible to meet shift production goals.
• Responsible for quality control.
• Ensures that all production reports; purchase requisitions; and accident/incident reports are prepared on the correct forms and are properly completed.
• Salary Range - Hourly $29.48-$36.85

• Ensures that direct report(s) are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the department responsibilities and goals can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
• Communicates regularly with all direct report(s), both individually and as a team (if applicable), to ensure good two-way communication concerning progress and other issues.
• Conduct employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contributions. Manages performance issues within company guidelines, working with Human Resources.
• Complies with the Company’s Human Resources policies and procedures, and promotes the awareness of, and compliance with, these policies by direct report(s).
