IPL Hull was built in the millennium year and there are employees working today who witnessed the first brick being laid! Our Hull location is an experienced leader in the injection and blow moulding industry housing state of the art blow moulding machines and a modern fleet of injection moulding machines. IPL Hull takes initiative on providing eco-friendly solutions and pride themselves on delivering products specifically tailored to their customers' needs. Key products include the “One Nest” stacking crate, jerry cans, Water Butt, composter, kerbside boxes, food waste containers and nestable bale arm trays.

An opportunity has a arisen for a Tooling Technician to join our Technical department at our Hull site.

This essential role provides a specialist engineering support function to the toolroom process and will be responsible for delivering conforming tooling to operations.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week on rotating day patterns (6.00am to 2.00pm & 8.00am to 4.00pm)

Key responsibilities

About You

You may have relevant experience gained from within an injection and, ideally, blow moulding facility, though this is not essential.

You will have achieved at least a Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or industry recognised equivalent, and may be looking to explore further professional development.

Ideally, you will also have experience using manual machinery including milling machines, lathe and surface grinders.

Given the nature of the role, you will need to communicate effectively with key stakeholders across departments.

Notwithstanding your experience to date, you will take pride in working with your team and other key individuals to deliver a more efficient, safe and clean working environment.
