Job Title: Payroll Manager, North America
The Payroll Manager will help support payroll processes for employees across the division for IPL North America. The Payroll Manager will help develop and streamline payroll processes, while leading the payroll team. This role will leverage our ERP system as well as ADP to ensure payroll is running smoothly for the business.
Position Summary
Manage and oversee the payroll process for both hourly and salaried employees across the division.
Lead and guide the North America Payroll team.
Ensure compliance with Federal and State payroll laws and regulations, as well as internal policies.
Utilize ADP and ERP (IFS) systems to streamline and automate payroll processes.
Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Inform the finance team of any out-of-budget expenses that will arise.
Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to optimize the use of ADP and ERP systems.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees and management promptly.
Prepare and analyze payroll reports using ADP and ERP systems.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates in ADP and ERP systems.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for payroll transactions in ADP and ERP systems.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to safeguard the well-being of staff and visitors.
Provide regular, consistent, and transparent communication and interaction with the leadership teams about departmental activities, potential threats, opportunities, and recommended actions.

Additional information (including specialized qualifications / skills)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, related field, or proven work experience.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification (preferred)
Prior experience in payroll management, specifically in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, including off-cycle insurance compliance.
Experience working with ADP and ERP systems for payroll processing.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll data.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
