Position Title: Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor
Reporting to OPS Manager this is a demanding role for an ambitious and dynamic professional with drive, determination, and the desire to work in a highly commercial and growth-focused environment
The successful candidate will:
Purpose: Provides indirect/direct supervision over the shift operators and over a group of cells or machines to meet daily safety, quality, and production targets.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Train and coach production line employees.
- Ensures solid two-way communication amongst team and with other management.
- Oversee production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Conduct daily shift meetings.
- Responsible for meeting shift production goals.
- Responsible for quality control and adjust as necessary during shifts to ensure high quality product.
- Operate within defined procedures and Job Safety requirements.
- Safe housekeeping standards are always maintained to ensure a clean and safe working area.
- Responsible for providing a daily reporting to oncoming supervision.
- Ensures that all production reports; purchase requisitions; and accident/incident reports are prepared on the correct forms and are properly completed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Leadership Requirements:
- Train and coach production line employees.
- Responsible for employee shift schedule to include workstation assignments/rotations, training, vacations, breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent, and shift rotations.
- Lead in clean-up of manufacturing areas.
- Ensures that direct report(s) are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the department responsibilities and goals can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Communicates regularly with all direct report(s), both individually and as a team (if applicable), to ensure good two-way communication concerning progress and other issues.
- Complies with the Company’s Human Resources policies and procedures and promotes the awareness of and compliance with these policies.
