Job Title: Senior Planner
Location: Lommel, Belgium
Job Purpose
To be responsible for the Production Plan of the Lommel site to meet customer demand within site constraints, and to control the inbound supply of Raw Materials to support the execution of the Production Plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed target OTIF of Production Plan (98%)
- Create and maintain Shop Orders in the ERP system.
- Plan and prepare the production plan/schedule to achieve customer requirements at optimal operating costs.
- Working closely with the logistics coordinator, ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and on time.
- Load Work Centres with Shop Order demand in an efficient manner to reduce tool changes and colour changes where possible.
- Communicate utilisation of key equipment and advise bottlenecks.
- Maintain supply of adequate Raw Materials to meet the requirements of the Production Plan.
- Communicate supply shortages and engage Vendors in regular meetings about ongoing supply.
- Liaising with the Production Manager and HR Department to ensure staffing levels meet requirements.
- To plan safety stocks and target stocks in line with customer demand.
- To manage relationships with Commercial and Customer Service team.
- To review Customer service issues daily with Customer Service.
- To plan manufacturing effectively.
- To set inventory targets based on Customer service targets and replenishment cycle.
- To provide supply forecasts monthly to key suppliers.
- To ensure new products are managed into the business effectively.
- Determine ABC ranking of products.
- Create and maintain the right parameters optimizing the functionality of the ERP system.
- Monitor the capacity ratio as part of S&OP, where production capacity is compared to the customer demand in combination with warehouse storage capacity.
- Monitor KPIs such as OTIF performance, stock levels, stock turn, obsolete stock, slow moving stock, customer forecast accuracy.
- Implementation of best practices to control inventory levels and minimize stock excesses and shortages.
Working Conditions
Normal working hours are in an office environment with the use of IT equipment to access software systems & tools. The wearing of appropriate PPE is required when entering Production and Warehouse areas.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30am to 16:00pm, with flexibility to work additional hours as required by the company to fulfil the role.
