The Production Team is looking to fill the role of Packer in their Urbana, Ohio facility. The Packer is responsible for ensuring products are produced and packed for shipping to customers in accordance safety, quality and production standards.

The Dayton facility is one of the primary manufacturing sites for producing customized thin-wall injection molded containers, lids, overcaps and custom packaging solutions for branded and private label food and consumer product companies all over the world. IPL is the trusted innovation partner to some of the biggest brands in the world and by working closely with customers to design and develop the right solution, millions of people around the world use our products every day.

What you will bring to the role:

A reliable, dependable candidate who will bring a team player mindset with the ability to work autonomously as needed.

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct work order verification by verifying and logging required information from the work order at each production assigned.
  • Ensure carton (box) labels staged at press are filled out and/or used in numerical order, in accordance with instructions.
  • Pack parts in boxes as directed by work order and quality standards.
  • Make cartons (boxes) as needed for parts being run on the production presses assigned by following construction and storage requirements.
  • Re-stock production press with correct packaging materials
  • Place cartons (boxes) in proper configuration on pallet per work order and/or supervisor instruction.
  • Inspect parts on all sides when taking parts off the parts handling equipment to ensure they meet documented quality standards.
  • Pick out defects while continuing to pack good parts.
  • Pack parts for sort/rework/repack if authorized by Supervisor or Quality Auditor
  • Sort good parts and pack for shipment while placing parts with defects into bags to be tagged for regrind.
  • Maintain good general housekeeping in workstation.
  • Strictly adhere to all documented and enforced GMP and Food Safety policies
