Job Title: Maintenance Controls Technician

Location: Springfield, Ohio

Job Overview and key duties (agile)

  • Responsible for electrical controls for production equipment, troubleshooting any issues related to PLC/Servo/HMI and making necessary repairs. New equipment and improvement projects are a significant part of the job.

Automation Machine Programming, Maintenance and Repair

  • Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems.
  • Monitor automated systems.
    • Isolate issues and repair or replace any necessary components.
    • Troubleshoot issues, determine if issue is mechanical, electrical or computer control system related.
  • Automation and PLC programming

Production Support and Continuous Improvement

  • Create operating instructions for automation machinery.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory.

Food Safety

  • Follow and enforce GMP and all Food Safety policies.

Additional information (including specialized qualifications)

  • Previous experience and knowledge in:
  • Troubleshooting electrical controls
  • 480, 230, 120VAC, 24VDC
  • Wiring and programming VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • HMI programming
  • Reading schematics
  • Positive and professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Ability to learn quickly and with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
