Production Supervisor

Department: PROD - Moulding - Indirect

Position Title: Production Supervisor (Bilingual preferred) - 12 Hour Shift

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

The IPL Leaktite West team looking to fill the role of Supervisor/Team Lead in their Phoenix, Arizona facility. This position is responsible for supervising employees engaged in assembling parts, as well as the manufacturing of products within quality, time, and cost standards. Responsibilities also include processing, troubleshooting, repair and record keeping of all injection molding machines and related equipment when necessary. This is a key component in IPL's customer satisfaction by ensuring product quality standards are met and maintained throughout the shift.

The Phoenix site is one of the manufacturing sites for IPL’s Large Format and Retail Packaging (LF&R) business in the United States. LF&R is a growing segment, with annual revenue of approximately $200m and significant growth potential, and is part of the Environmental, Returnable and Industrial Solutions (ERIS) Division of IPL.

Shift: 12 Hour Rotating Shift

The successful candidate will:

  • Oversees full-time and temporary assembly and floor employees.
  • Instructs full-time and temporary assembly and floor employees on work methods, company policies and procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Re-trains and provides employees with updates to policies, procedures, and work practices as needs arise.
  • Administers disciplinary action to full-time and temporary assembly and floor employees for deficiencies in employee conduct.
  • Provides annual performance reviews to full-time assembly and floor employees.
  • Ensures that all work is carried out in accordance with the company safety policy.
  • Oversees set up and operation of equipment, material use, job assignments, labeling, and other related activities on respective shift.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Assists quality control with the determination of quality control issues and remains accountable for results.
  • Ensures the security of the general plant and manufacturing areas.
  • Responds to building or employee incidents promptly and appropriately, and reports to Human Resources.
