Reporting to the IPLNA Product Engineering Director, the Product Designer / CAD Manager is responsible for the New products design conception, Dimensional drawings creation, Engineering changes tracking and CAD management for all products categories across IPLNA sites.

Product design and CAD management

• Complete products conception (IPLNA sites)
• Complete and maintain dimensional part drawings (IPLNA sites)
• Manage all products CAD and administrate the PDM vault (IPLNA sites)
• Manage Engineering requests and changes (IPLNA sites)
• Develop and maintain packaging schemes (IPL St-Damien)
• Manage 3D printing (IPL St-Damien)
• Develop and maintain technical datasheets for resins, concentrates, purchased components (IPL St-Damien)
• Support EOAT conception and build (IPLNA sites)
• Support plants on quality concerns (IPLNA sites)

Scope of Responsibility & Complexity

• Become the go to resource for new product design
• Develop strong synergy with Engineering, Operations/Quality to develop products meeting all standards
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the products portfolio and plastics markets for IPLNA

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

Technical or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with Product Design specialty or equivalent experience

Minimum of 1 year working in product development and design

• Experience working in the packaging area is essential
• Experience in product design and quality problem anticipation
• Experience in mechanical design(EOAT, robotics)
• Excellent analytical skills
• Team player who understands that the whole effort is necessary to succeed
