Job purpose
Manage continuous improvement projects to enhance the efficiency of plant and office operations
Lean management based on Six Sigmax tools
- Carry out Lean and Six Sigma projects
- Carry out and lead operational and administrative Kaizens in relation to the business process
- Lead projects and ensure their strict execution by the various departments
- Monitor and analyze performance indicators
- Guide, support and energize employees and other stakeholders involved in projects
- Evaluate project results (cost/budget, deliverables, retrospective)
- Identify interesting opportunities, analyze them and propose any other relevant improvements to the follow-up committee
- Assist project managers (production and R&D) with the transfer of newly developed products and equipment
Manage activities related to continuous improvement in operations
- Participate in the research and development of solutions and principles for various projects
- Contribute to the achievement of operational objectives (KPI)
- Carry out any other related tasks that may help the department to run smoothly
- Lead group and sub-group kaizens
Offer technical support to several groups of individuals
- Assist engineering and its project managers in the transfer of molds and equipment to production
- Provide technical support and expertise to production
- Provide advice and support to other IPL North America sites
Safety and sustainability expectations
- Contribute to improving and maintaining C-TPAT, SQF/HACCP and ISO procedures and standards
- Knowledge of C-TPAT, SQF/HACCP and ISO standards
- Comply with OHS requirements and help implement appropriate corrective actions
Qualifications and skills required
- University degree in mechanical, chemical or process engineering or equivalent training/experience; Black Belt training in Lean Six Sigma is required
- 6-10 years' experience in a production environment (factory)
