The role
Reporting to the Chief People Officer the role of VP of HR North America is pivotal in ensuring that our people strategies align with business goals, helping to attract, retain, and motivate high-performing employees across diverse locations and functions in line with our OneIPL strategy.
As a key member of the HR leadership team, the VP of HR North America will work closely with the Chief People Officer and collaborate across Divisions to implement best-in-class solutions that enhance the employee experience, foster continuous learning, and drive a high-performance culture.
As a VP of HR at IPL you will:
Lead and build a highly effective HR team across IPL North America to deliver for the needs of the business and drive cultural change whilst ensuring our values and behaviors are appropriately embedded across the organization.
Working in partnership with the Managing Director of IPL NA maximize the business impact of the HR team and become a strategic partner contributing to the Divisions overall profitability.
Working with the Group HR team develop and implement strategies to attract and hire top talent, and ensuring the business has the right people in the right positions.
Working with the Group HR team develop and implement strategies to enhance skills in the existing workforce and ensure programmes foster career growth and identify talent for promotion opportunities, thereby minimising our staff attrition rates.
Working with the Group HR team ensure we have a resilient organization through fit for purpose succession planning, early careers programme and apprenticeships with clearly defined career development paths.
Working with the Group HR team ensure that our compensation and benefits schemes that ensure the organization is competitive in the talent market.
Working with the Group HR team develop and implement programmes to foster an inclusive and diverse workplace, that fosters a culture of equal opportunity for all
Provide Leadership, direction, and management to the HR teams, including our HR Business Partner Network.
Coach and mentor our senior business and wider business teams in line with IPLs Values
In Collaboration with all functions, ensure the HR needs of the Organization are being met in line with legal, regulatory and any local compliance requirements
Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the function in line with legal, regulatory and Company policies
Working with the wider HR team develop develop and implement business relevant KPIs that can be tracked consistently across manufacturing sites.
Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements.
Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and visitors. · Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, disciplinary issues and procedures as appropriate. · Role model our Values
What you will bring to the role:
Previous experience as a VP Human Resources, Head of Human Resources with a regional remit in a Manufacturing environment.
Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Human Resources
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to develop and sustain a high performing team.
Previous experience with Californian employment law
Advanced consulting, influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to ensure strategic alignment with multiple parties.
Highly self-motivated to develop strategic, tactical, and operational direction.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate and bridge across functional boundaries, as well as an ability to build a Network across a wide range of individuals and organizations.
Strong business acumen and able to develop a team with a focus on both internal and external customer satisfaction.
